It is one of the biggest national parks in India and was established in 1936 and is managed by the Uttrakhand Forest Department. This park is situated in Nainital district and is known the world over. It has a total area of 1288.32 sq. km. out of which 520.82 sq. km. area belongs to Corbett National Park, 301.18 sq. km. makes Sonanadi Wild Life Sanctuary and the rest 466.32 sq km. constitutes the reserve forest.
